Reclaiming: Oral Histories of Sexual & Reproductive Wellness Traditions in Appalachian Ohio

Now available on YouTube

“Reclaiming” is a 30-minute short film that documents the oral histories of sexual & reproductive wellness traditions through interviews with six Appalachian Ohioans spanning the mid-40s to early 90’s. The film was directed by Clara Haizlett and Talcon Quinn, with support from Susan Leopold & United Plant Savers.

We hope you can join us for the online premiere of “Reclaiming,” a film that brings voice to traditions and experiences we do not often talk about. Filmmakers Clara & Talcon will be available for questions via the online chat.

“Reclaiming” has been made possible by the Mid Atlantic Art’s Central Appalachian Living Traditions program and in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
