Farmers (let alone organic farmers) are a dying breed. Every year in Wisconsin, we loose hundreds of independently owned farms. As a consequence, the availability, diversity, and quality of fresh, local food diminishes. To compound the issue, practical resources for people intending to enter the field are few and far between. By participating in the Taste of Wellspring, you are supporting our work to offer a variety of educational and skills training opportunities for future farmers, community leaders, home growers, families, and children. We rely on community support to operate as an education farm. By hosting seasonal, full time internships in organic farming, workshops for the public, and youth environmental education programs, we are providing an increasingly rare resource for people who want to grow. Partner with us, and join the movement for more access to better local food in SE Wisconsin.
